Srikrungwattana was established in 1968 by Mr. Sumit Sethpornpong, Mr. Sawang Laohathai, and Mr. Prasert Tangtrongsakdi. Initially the company specialized in the importation and distribution of fertilizers and chemicals.

The Thai Central Chemical Public Company Limited was established as a producer and distributor of chemical fertilizers in Thailand. This was a joint effort between Srikrungwattana, the Thai Ministry of Finance, Nissho Iwai Corporation, currently known as Sojitz Corporation, and Central Glass Co., Ltd.
Srikrungwattana constructed its official headquarters known as the Srikrungwattana Building and later the United Flour Mill Building on Ratchawong Road.
Srikrungwattana acquired the United Flour Mill Public Company Limited (UFM), the first wheat flour mill in Thailand, and its factory on Puchaosamingprai Road, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan.
Bangkok Steel Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (BSI) was acquired in 1978. The company manufactured reinforced steel bars. Its modernized rebar rolling mill factory is located on Puchaosamingprai Road, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan.
Initially a computer department in Srikrungwattana, Metro Systems Corporation Co., Ltd was established as a separate entity. The company is an authorized dealer and marketer of IBM products, such as typewriters and computers, and its installation services. In 1996, it was officially listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand with its headquarters in Chalerm Phrakiat Rama 9 Road, Prasert District, Bangkok.
MC Industrial Chemical Co., Ltd, was established as a chemical import and export company. Its major imports funded major industries such as chemical, solution, agrochemical, pesticide, plastic resin, textile chemical, food additive, pharmaceutical, and industrial machinery.
Siam Aroon Company Limited has created several residential development projects which are Citi Resort Sukhumvit 39, Citi Resort 39 Annex, Citi Resort 39 New Wing, Citi Resort Sukhumvit 49, Living @ Citi Resort, and Citi Resort @ Sea Sriracha. Some of which have UFM Fuji Supermarket located within the residential area for convenience. These residential spaces target and support the large Japanese expatriate community within Thailand.
Srikrungwattana continues to invest, and venture into new industries. Now, the company has expanded to include MCIC, MCSV, MICPL, UFM Fuji Supermarket, Rich Products Manufacturing (Thailand), Siam UKF, N.I.M, Rise, and others.
